Skills

Chief Engineer M/Y Nassima
March 2013 – September 2015

As Chief Engineer, I was responsible for on board management of all engineering, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, security, international safety management, satellite communication, entertainment and IT networking systems, warranty issues, written procedures and safety drills.  I managed all regulatory requirements working with the classification society (American Bureau of Shipping) and the Flag State (Cayman Island Shipping Registry).

I employed a team, replacing initial crew and retrieved vessel from the Caribbean returning it to the South of France in preparation for marketing the vessel at Mediterranean boat shows for either sale or charter. After a successful first charter season, the crew were discharged and I was responsible for overseeing an extensive warranty and commissioning program, including managing and directing shipyard employees and external contractors.

For each of the three years, the crew departed at the end of each season leaving me on board to manage the vessel program on behalf of the owner, who named his private yacht after one of his construction projects, the Nassima Royal Hotel, Dubai. NassimaRoyalHotel.com
